Dave Schneider was elected to the Alberta Legislature on May 05, 2015 in the constituency of Little Bow.
Dave has lived most of his life in Vulcan County. Right after High School, Dave took a two year Television course in SAIT from 1975 to 1977. He worked in Television in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge from 1977 to 1980.
Since 1980, Dave has farmed. He started with an uncle, then went on his own several years later.
Mr. Schneider sat on the Badland Hills Cattle Grazing Association board as the secretary/treasurer for 10 years. He became a Vulcan County Councillor in 2007 and served until 2013. He sat on the Municipal Planning Commission for 3 years, and then sat on the appeal board for the following 3 years. He chaired the Vulcan District Waste Commission for 6 years and was instrumental in forming the Southern Alberta Energy from Waste Alliance which is striving to convince the Alberta Government to allow safe disposal of garbage by more environmentally sound methods than landfilling. Dave chaired and was instrumental in forming the Vulcan Region Physician Grant Committee that investigated doctor physician and retention for the local hospital.
With well-rounded experience, Dave is well suited to serve the constituents of the Little Bow riding.
