UCP Critic for Seniors, Housing and Multiculturalism
Laila Goodridge was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in the Fort McMurray-Conklin by-election, which was held July 12, 2018.
Prior to her election, Ms. Goodridge worked for Members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. She has also previously served the Minister of the Environment in Ottawa and spent almost five years working in the oil sands in Fort McMurray.
She’s an active volunteer within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. She is fluent in French and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean.
Ms. Goodridge was born and raised in Fort McMurray, the community she represents today. She has been actively involved in politics for over half her life, volunteering on her first political campaign at age 15, and has been involved in politics since that point in time. She has served on both provincial and federal conservative boards in various roles.
