UCP Critic for Service Alberta
Scott Cyr was elected to the Alberta Legislature on May 05, 2015 in the constituency of Bonnyville – Cold Lake.
Scott Cyr was born, raised and lived all his life in northern Alberta. He grew up with a younger brother and sister and takes pride in having been brought up by hardworking parents, who worked as a mechanic and a bookkeeper. After graduating from high school Scott attended the University of Lethbridge where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a double major in accounting and finance.
After completing his university degree Scott returned to his home town of Slave Lake where he articled to become an accountant. In 2001, Scott and his wife Megan settled in Cold Lake where they started an accounting practice from the ground up. During the time Scott grew the practice he and Megan had 2 beautiful little girls, Amelia and Charlotte.
Scott has been actively involved with his local constituency board as the VP of Membership for the last 2 years. During that time he also served on the Wildrose executive committee as the provincial director in northern Alberta and was responsible for 8 northern ridings to facilitate growth at the grassroots level.
Scott looks forward to working hard for his community, and representing the people of Bonnyville-Cold Lake to the best of his ability.
